Pastel is a French Brasserie located in the modern wing of the Tel Aviv museum, designed by Baranowitz Kronenberg Architects.
Pastel – a name signifying the lighter shades of the color palette, was chosen by the owners as a subtle gesture to the art world. The Client’s brief was to create a corporate identity which is both modern & minimal, yet warm & traditional.
The resulting logo was a simple heavy stroke, hovering over carefully kerned letters. Hinting at a presence of an artistic stroke of color, yet at the same time eliminating all color from it. A simple identity based on the colors black & white, red, and gold foil – maintaining a constant dialogue with french tradition. Each object was carefully selected to represent this new spirit of the modern brasserie.
