Seed + Mill is a women-owned business united by a shared passion for food, cooking and high quality, healthy ingredients. The Seed +Mill team approached the studio in 2015, before opening shop in Chelsea Market New York, and asked the team to rethink the category of Tahini and Halva. The team chose to avoid the typically ethnic approach, and introduced sesame products to the US with a fresh palette of pastel colors, and a heart made of sesame seeds.
Instead of treating Halva as an exotic middle eastern dessert, the brand focused on integrating tahini and halva into daily nutrition, celebrating its many health benefits. This simple happy slow-living philosophy, is what helped the brand to expand quickly, and become a NY hit. In 2017 the brand expanded its distribution to “Wholefoods”.
